A Brief Overview

Summerland, Originally known as "Immidiate Family," began taping in March of 2004. Ava Gregory's life completely changed when her 16-year-old nephew, Bradin, called her with tragic news: her sister and brother-in-law where killed in an accident back home, in Kansas. Bradin, along with his sister, Nikki, 13, and brother, Derrick, 9, are sent to live with their aunt in Play Linda, California. Ava, along with her roommates, Johnny, Jay, and Susannah, are now faced with the everyday tasks of raising three children. Together, they learn how to take care of each other and become a close family.

Summerland's first season on the WB had the highest rating the network has seen on a Tuesday night in years. It has recently been announced that the cast will be returning in September to start taping the second season, which will air this coming January. We look forward to seeing more!
