He's just seventeen and Jesse McCartney has already been nominated for two Emmys, two Young Artist Awards and a Soap Opera Digest Award. And that is just for his acting. He got an early start in New York Theater as Oliver Twist from the production of Oliver at the age of seven. That led to more theater roles, including The King and I and A Christmas Carole, a role as Adam Chandler, Jr. on All My Children, and now as Bradin Westerly on The WB's new hit show, Summerland.
Not only is Jesse a phenomenal actor, he is also a singer! He got his start as a lead singer in a group known as the Sugar Beats. He recorded 3 albums with this group. He is most commonly known as the youngest member of a boy-band called Dream Street. The band's debut album reached Gold Status and a number one spot on the Billboard Independent Album Charts. The band, unfortunately, broke up in 2002 due to legal issues. This made it possible for Jesse to start a solo project. His EP, JMac, was released in July of 2003 and his first single, Beautiful Soul, was included on the Radio Disney top 3 chart for weeks straight. Jesse's debut CD, Beautiful Soul, is set to be released on September 28, 2004.
